The 11 & under encouragement meet is a swimming carnival especially for beginners. Run at the Churchill Leisure Centre, this meet consists of 25m events in all strokes plus a 100m IM. It will not be a ‘qualifying meet’ and is run in a relaxed, yet professional manner. Swimmers will gain experience with marshalling (going to a room where they are sorted into lanes and heats), standing behind the block, starting on the blocks, next to the blocks or in the water (as they prefer), starting to a stating hooter and being times.
