A message from Club President, Jane Mitchell:
Thank-you on behalf of the committee for the effort you put in over this very long (but oh so satisfying!) weekend of Gippies.
To our parents who worked as ‘white shirted’ officials all or part of the weekend, to those who answered the rosters for time keepers and breakfast support, and to those who assisted with the set up and tear down of the Traralgon tents, and indeed, the Championships site – what an awesome, willing and energetic team you are! It is a huge job to support your children and their needs through a challenging weekend and we appreciate your additional work in so many areas.
Congratulations to coaches Brian, Sam, Dean, Cam and Steve for our 20th Gippsland Championships win; a Gippsland record that will surely take come beating! Your preparation and support of our swimmers kept them strong, hungry and enthusiastic from event 1 on Saturday through event 122 on Monday.
To swimmers, coaches and parents – a great big ‘high-five’ and well done! Strong bodies, strong minds – and always – ONE TEAM.
