 The Power behind Gippsland Swimming

 All Junior Semi Finals and Finals  MSAC 21/22 March

For All Junior, swimmers compete in their own age group (age as of 21/3/15) over 50 metres in each stroke. The fastest 6 14 & Under swimmers in the district in each stroke will go on to compete in the Finals in Melbourne on March 21/22 Swimmers who have won medals at State or Country level are ineligible for All Junior Semi Finals and Finals.

Proficiency Certificates

Swimmers may apply for ‘Proficiency Certificates’ in conjunction with All Junior events.

Proficiency Certificates are available as follows:

• Elementary – shows competence in 50m of both Freestyle and Backstroke
• Intermediate – shows competency in 50m of Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke or Butterfly
• Proficiency – shows competency in 50m of Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly

Swimmers do not need to achieve specific times to qualify for Proficiency certificates; they need only complete the distance with correct technique. Swimmers may apply for a higher award (e.g. Intermediate or Proficiency) without first achieving the lower awards.

Costs for Proficiency certificates is $1.00.
