Congratulations to Ellodie Reid, recipient of the Tim Forsythe Award at the Gippsland Sports Academy Awards Night. Ellodie received the coveted award (last year given to team mate Mikaela Cornelissen) for excellence in her sport. This caps off an outstanding year in which Ellodie won gold at the National Open Water Championships in the 13 years 5km event. Ellodie was the female swimmer of the meet at the Gippsland Championships – taking home both the Alan Harlow 14 & Under trophy and the Jewell Family trophy.
At Age Nationals 14 year old Ellodie Reid continued her success winning sliver in the 14 years 200 back ( 2.21.90), a new Gippsland record, bronze in the 800 free (9.07.20) also a Gippsland record and a Victorian Country record in the 400 free ( 4.26.53 ).
