A number of our swimmers recorded some terrific results:

Thomas Hamilton
Boys 10 years 50 metre Breast – Silver
In heat swam 40.79 and final 39.58 , both Out of Gippsland records breaking ex Traralgon Coach and Swimmer, Matt Dinsmore’s record from 2011 of 41.21.
In heat swim of 100 metre Breast swam 1.29.05, another Out of Gippsland record breaking Kheng Siang Ong’s time from Sale of 1.30.19 from 1987. Swam in final and came 4th.

Melina De Cort
Girls 13 – 14 50 Back – Silver
Also qualified in 100 and 200 Back for 2015 Age and Open Nationals in the 50. Made finals in both 100 and 200 coming 4th in each.

Taylah Da Ros
Finalled in 15 – 16 50 Free, 50 Fly and 100 Fly
Qualified in 100 Fly for 2015 Age Nationals and Open Nationals in the 50.

Lauren Akers
Finalled in 13 – 14 years 50 Free, 100 Free and 100 Fly
Qualified in 50 Free and 100 Fly for 2015 Age Nationals.

Harliai Curthoys-Davies
Finalled in 11 years 50 Back, 100 Back and 100 Free

Emily Goode
Finalled in 12 years 50 Breast

Xavier Haberl
Finalled in 10 years 50 and 100 Breast

Other swimmers from Gippsland who competed and swam well were Mayson Vanderkolk (11 years) from South Gippsland who made a number of finals and Josh Seignor (14 years) from East Gippsland who picked up a silver in the 100 Breast and broke the Out of Gippsland record for the 50 breast in the first lap of that event.
