The 11 & Under Encouragement Meet is geared towards novice swimmers. The program consists of 25m events as well as a 100m IM for ages 6-11. The meet is not a qualifying meet and correct swimming technique is not critiqued; it is meant to be fun and give new swimmers a taste of competitive swimming.

There will be a Referee to call swimmers to the start and a Starter to send them off. Swimmers may start off a block, from the poolside or in the water. Swimmers do not need to be registered with a swimming club to compete.
The meet will be held at the Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre on Saturday, September 3 beginning at 3pm. We anticipate that it will finish around 6pm. Swimmers who had entered the Sept 4 event have been added to this new meet.
Meet entry is $20 for swimmers with no pool entry charged for spectators.
There will be ribbons awarded to 6th place.
