TSC AGM

The Traralgon Swimming Club AGM was held on June 20 in the club rooms.  We thank the members who attended – including Scott Ashby who travelled from Melbourne to sit in and offer his support – thank you Scott!

The new committee for the 2016/17 season was elected with only one change in the current committee.  Lisa Auteri has taken on the role Uniform Officer and will soon be available to help members with their uniform needs. We thank Carol Reid for her work in this area for the past five seasons.

We also thank Karen Tsebelis for the work she’s done over many years in support of the club.

New fees and registration costs were accepted – these can be found under “Members” above.

Notable is the acceptance of a new By-Law which requires that at least one parent becomes a paid member when registering a swimmer (especially 15 years and under).  There are several reasons for this.  We are “one Team” – all of us contributing members of the club!  We ask that you show your support and loyalty by becoming an official, paid member.  A benefit of this – to you and to the club – is that like your swimmers, you are then covered by insurance in the event that you are injured whilst volunteering for the club.

Adult membership will cost only $25 – the SVI requirement – and only $14 for qualified officials (incl qualified timekeepers).

Before July 1:  Any parent who has never registered or is uncertain of registration details, or if you have recently become a qualified official,  please contact Fiona Storm at jofi7@bigpond.com for directions and changes to registration type.  Then when July 1 comes and registrations are due, all family members and non-competitive members (parents) will be linked in the SVI membership site for easy registration.

I thank all parents for their continued support of the club, our programs and our culture of “One Team”.  Go Traralgon!
