Our Coaches and Swimmers came home with a number of awards at the Swimming Victoria & ASCTA (Coaches Association) Awards Night:
Dean Gooch won the Victorian Age Group Coaching Achievement at Australian Age awarded to the most successful coach, who for the first time has swimmers win a medal at that meet. He also won the Victorian Multi – Class Age Group Coaching Achievement at Australian Age & MC Age Championship awarded to the most successful coach, who for the first time has a MC swimmer win medals at at that meet.
Mikaela Cornelissen won the Allan Blue Memorial Trophy awarded to the most outstanding country swimmer with the best swim closest to the World record.
Brian Ford won the Victorian Country Coach of the Year awarded to the coach whose team achieves the highest points score at Victorian Country Championships. This is the 15th time he has won this award.
